Receiving Lines
A receiving line is to allow the Bride and Groom and other members of the bridal party to welcome and be introduced to every guest.
It can be thought to be a little formal in this more modern times, but it does ensure that everyone at your wedding has been personally welcomed, something that, something that often doesn’t happen in practise.
A receiving line takes place when the guests are moving from the drinks reception into the dining room.
There are no hard and fast rules to the receiving line but, but traditionally the line is as follows:-
